Lady In Waiting

Lady robed in scarlet attire
Full of the nights heated desire
Longing the touch of her knight
The light is darkened from her sight

She longs intensely for his breath
Against her skin so soft, so scandalous
He is gone now  from her searching  view
She  wrestles deep impulses  from within
These demons,  she has come to know as  friends

Her heart is pounding faster than light
For her lover is all she wants tonight
Passion so unbridled and so divine to share
She feels as though these demons do not care
They surely  now  have  her soul and  mind

So she wrestles with her sultry  dreams
Her knight was not all he seemed?
To the wind she sings a mournful song
As her lover was to all she belonged

Come quickly she whispers
Yet only to herself
Or tonight this lady in waiting
Will.......
Simply be once again put on a shelf!
