From the beginning of time,
We have been her children.
Children, innocent,
Unknowing, crawling from pools, tepid, stained of moss,
From the womb, to breathe the airs of life itself.
Gasping in wonder, we crawled, bellies close to her.
To shed the scales of ignorance,
Trading them for wings of freedom,
Only to molt them for a winters fur,
Soft and secure,
Then gaining wisdom, we rose, rising onto two,
To walk as Kings among the beasts.
Still respecting our mother as Queen.
We erected great monuments, gave homage.
Until our wisdom overcame us,
Civilized bore us a step backwards.
We became more than the beasts we once were.
Arrogant we became,
Dominant, possessive,
Claiming the mother who borne us as our prize.
Staking her, dividing her,
She who gave us life.
Bore us fruit.
Sacrificed herself,
As we raped her for her precious prizes.
And here we stand upon her naked body,
Proud. Still arrogant.
Shedding our brother’s blood.
Stripping her of life itself.
How she must weep.
And weep she will,
Until a last tear falls upon the Barren Grounds.
Where her children no longer flourish.

Oh wow! You're so right! We really have become beasts, even worse than that... That's what too good life along side with too bad life brings you... poverty and envy and hate...
Great topic to write about.

It seems to me the quote from 'Terminator 2' is spot on.  Mankind will ultimately destroy themselves.  We destroy the earth, other people's lives etc.  It will all come back to us as mankind and individually.  Karma comes good or bad...
Wonderful writing here Ron.
I understand about the email hon, but will just have to say it publicly.  I love the way of your spirit, the way it works, the gifts it bestows on us all.  *Namaste* it means my spirit salutes your spirit.
I want you to know this for a gift such as this must be shared always...
It warms the cockels of this heart to see another similar soul.

Yes! You have expressed well what many feel. This should be compulsory reading I think, well done! I love it!
