years went by,  and I never noticed
the agony  of my  now frozen tears
that destroyed my faith
in your bed of warmth, I so wanted to embrace

I laid in this  bed of      ~ICE~
and called it my "honor",   as your  wife
many nights,   I would spend all  alone
It would  chill  me to  the bone
I could not escape the cold reality
that you  were the one  married to me?
line upon line,  the story would unfold
to you,  my soul,  had been sold

so I lay here,  in this frigid  dark vault, our bedroom
my soul completely  filled,  with your  ~ICY~ gloom
I cannot move this frozen corpse I have become
or change this union into truly becoming one
I dreamt  of red hot,  steamy nights  of passion
but all they  did,  was  turn to gray  as ashen

I seductively  came to you,  so many times
with loving you,  my only heinous  crime
only to hear loud echoes of snores
to you I was, I guess,  merely a bore?

Adultry is a sin but to me turning your back on a spouse like you described is more of a sin..heartfelt illusion..

I feel a certain sadness for you that you have tried so hard and seemed to fail so miserable in your attempts to give and receive love...something or somebody needs to wake that snoring man up to smell the roses...James

Victoria.....so well put!  I have never looked at it from that angle, but you are correct. Thank you for the insight!

Catalinamoon......Thanks for throwing me a blanket!!  Having others just say something nice adds so much warmth doesn't it!

jmlee12345....You hit the nail on the head!  What more can I say, as you see it just the way it is.  Thanks!

Isis....You always give such words of wisdom and encouragement in what you say!  Thank you for the hug too!
