I've heard some stories,
none of them are good,
about how you treated my mother,
never the way you should.

I can't remember your face,
or anything about you at all,
but you never bothered to send a card,
or even just to call.

I must admit I wonder
about what kind of person you are now,
and I know I want to meet you,
its just a question of how.

LiLi....I posted a reply to this yesterday, but it must be lost in the system.  A very well done poem about a deep heart sentiment.  If you want to see your father, then go for it.  At this stage of your life, you can take him on your own terms.  Good, bad or indifferent, at least you will know.  Hardrock

Great poem. I wanted to write such a poem. Maybe by reading yours I will be inspired to write one.

Hi, good description of the situation. I hope you can find him and get some answers.
(PS, my Dad was never there either)

Reminds me of the Everclear song "Father of Mine".   I feel a sadness everytime I listen to those words...James
