Open the locked door to hell
Let the demon screams be free
Crack open this hollowed shell
Shed my skin for all to see

Black tears fall from barren soul
Slice open scars of despair
To drown in pain is the goal
There is no hope of repair

Forsaken refuge calls out
No one left to fill the halls
Echoes of stillness shout
Angel of death climbs the wall

Flames of torment persevere
Shames vine adorns the archways
Doors of freedom disappear
Torment blocks hidden stairways

The way to freedoms gate found
Destroy this cage that holds all
Watch it crumble to the ground
Fear now makes a curtain call

The walls come down around me
Do I flee or stand and wait
Begging for them to crush me
Only death will vindicate

Then finally free to fly
Beyond darkness of the past
Brilliant as the butterfly
Unbroken and pure at last

Excellent expression of feelings here...I've been there, I know I have wings..I just wish I knew how to make them fly...beth

Holly,

Hey you!!  So nice to see you post.  I can feel the pain and torment in this one my friend.  Have faith, the butterfly will emerge anew.  I just know it.  Hope to catch up with you soon.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.  ***HUGS***

You know that I feel your pain as if it were my own and I do know that you will get through all of this. It has been written and you know that once it is written then it is going to happen.  Just given time my sweet friend.  You have the paths in front of you and at the end there are still the orange blossoms in the tree.  Different paths by different folks with the same goal will eventually meet in the end no matter what so hang in there.  Hugs to you.

It's hard to find your way past the past sometimes...

and you have evoked that need well here.

I wish to lend you my eyes ... so you could see the beauty in you I see
I wish to tear down old walls ... and build you a sanctuary

I wish for healing hands ... to take this pain away
I wish I knew the answers ... all the right words to say

If I had 3 wishes ... Id give them all to you
then I'd wish on the stars ... to make all your dreams come true.

**********
I feel this one my friend and it cuts way deep ...
and i know...and you know
and so you know....that I understand ...
one day at a time...
one brick at a time...
as the walls come down....
it allows the sunshine in ...
love ya my SS ...
me
