Shadows in Rhyme (inspired)

Those who look, touch with time
Borrowed I, his words of rhyme
Many seized as mind's eye walked
Beneath the pale moon, dark I stalked
May rest he day, where shade is made
Where silence reigns, the light does trade
Of what once, had burned so bright
Must now be seen through candlelight
It's wavering, it's shadows fall
Forever brightness, lost to all
Words adhere to mind and soul
The gloom is cast, my heart it stole

To shadow, now in dark of night
Until the day breaks into light.

Moon,

The way your phrase things and your poem in general, for lack of a better word (my thesaurus isn't working today) is awesome!

Keep up the good work!

I was never one to patiently pick up broken fragments and glue them together again and tell myself that the mended whole was as good as new. What is broken is broken- and I'd rather remember it as it was at its best than mend it and see the broken places as long as I lived.

"Of what once had burned so bright
must now be seen thru candlelight."
A fabulous expression from your heart.
Yes love sometimes dims but I think the desires in our hearts are always yearning
for the day when happiness will return again.
As you say the day will eventually break into light...and although this seems to be a time of sorrow and reflection for you I hope that precious day is not too far away...James
