The Joys of Innocence

Come with me and hold my hand
So I can lead thee to a New Land
A land where the world is still young
Where innocence still gives tongue
To thoughtless expressions of dreams
Reflecting myriad scattered themes
Of love and friendships come and gone
Of fragile relationships made and torn
Of future horizons to be explored
Of brilliant birds who upwards soared
To the heavens into the Sun of Gold
Who's Golden Sundrops to catch and hold
Returning to bask in lazy beaches of sand
Scattering the Sundrops with one hand
While the other already reaching out
To catch moonrays with a shout
Of happy abandon and camaraderie
And flying feet racing in a flurry
Of laughing skipping loving souls
With NO plans at all - frolicking foals.
