as yet uncovered
heavy soles tread over me
without scraping the surface
keeping me down underneath
hope unsmothered

but to dig me up
please no archaelogoist
my bones are too brittle
a gentle analysis is required
i need a soil scientist

filter my innards
through your microscopic gaze
add the chemicals needed
to defeat your mask
with my quiet haze

i will watch for the spade
and await my tryst
with the one who knows
her, my soil scientist.

Josh... when one analyses this poem a little more closely... it tells a tale of someone who is aching to be loved, and accepted for who they are.

Written very well indeed    And soil scientist is such a nice name! - very earthy!

Hi ilph,

Great poem, you spoke of needed love in such a different way I loved it and welcome to passions, look forward to more of your work.
