Hearing of banshee,
As they bleed my ears,
Lies of the past now chain me with fire,
Deception now drowns me in its sea,
Coming across inwardly preaching the dark core,
The end seems near as I see light disappear,
Irises of mine have now risen at last,
Fangs leaving deep wounds within my many broken hearts,
Moving onward with time I sense nothing at all,
Every touch of my skin disfigures me,
In hell I felt safe, but here I am frightened,
As the grip around my fate continually  tightens.

Ronil (The sweet sound of summer sends serenity through my soul searching for that evermore solitude.)

Oooh! I like this, particularly " as the grip around my fate continually tightens." excellently done.

Be well

Xeonox -

I found your poem wonderful!  The imagery and choice of words...this is a great piece.

I was never one to patiently pick up broken fragments and glue them together again and tell myself that the mended whole was as good as new. What is broken is broken- and I'd rather remember it as it was at its best than mend it and see the broken places as long as I lived.
