Perfect creation Swept with love grand and intence I barely pause to wonder If my devotion to romance Has cast the spell I'm under. Day after day I dream of love So beautiful and special But in the end it's all I have - My wild imagination... Emotions running deep enough But is it just a cover? Pure fantasy's seductive bluff, While reality turned sour. You're just a story I once wrote And since I keep rewriting Adding a date, sometimes a quote "My knight in armor blinding". Perhaps you're just a mannequin I placed without intention On the show of love and I'm a fan Of my own perfect creation... How sad and tragic to admit But this fantasy I'll treasure For no one else could ever fit, To this dream no one could measure. [This message has been edited by LM (edited 09-07-2000).] |

Wow! This is really beautiful. But then, the perfect creation usually does end up being the real thing... after all, the creation was put there from something you wanted in the first place... which means you'll more than likely get it! Pegasus: Thanks you very much for the comment Btw, I've just noticed your quote"The woods are lovely dar and deep..." It's my favourite poem!!! We learnt in in highschool - it's the only poem I loved from the entire school program... Oh and that one: "I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence Two roads diverged in the yellow woods And I, I took the one less traveled by And that has made all the difference..." Yep! James: thank you so much, if only it could come true I'd be the happiest girl in the world! Tara: Thanks hon, I don't mind your rambling It's great to read those long comments!Do you really think that if the fantasy is extra wonderful it will come true? Dawn, thanks for the comment The thing is that there's someone I know who is like a God to me and I wonder if he really is such or I simply don't know him well and all these emotions are a product of my imagination and belief in fairytales and LOVE stories... That's actually the point of this poem. Thanks for stopping by, I do hope that if not him than someone else will find me eventually |

As James said fantasies do come true if you are patient. But sometimes that's all they are is a fantasy come true if even for a little while. |

Thanks you Sandra I just knew you would understand because I was inspired by your work and thinking of it while writing this piece. I actually really hoped you'd get to read it because it was sort of written for you... you seem to really read my mind. So thanks for reading it and bringing it back because it's my favourite and it really *drained* me, can't write anything since... I'll write again. On the show of love and I'm a fan Of my own perfect creation... We all wish for that one person. Someone that is just perfect. To be the way we want in so many different ways. You are not a fan of your own creation, you are just making the world yours. Showing us how you see that one person in your life. I enjoyed this one very much. And I hope it didnt drain to much out of you to write more beautiful work like this! |
