I figured I'd come back with my first post here at DP. This is still how I feel, so it's relevant. I think I'm back now, but we'll see.

In chains, locked in a cage.
Behind bars, overcome with rage.
Armed with nothing, a ball and a chain
they hold me here, I've got nothing to gain.
Entranced, sorrow devours my soul.
My heart aches, my head hangs low.
My mood is morbid, heat dissipated across my neck
hatred is boiling rapidly in the pit of my stomach.
The life I live, isn't life at all
When I try to walk, I only fall.
I stumble into reality, anguish captivates my being
A prisioner in my own flesh,
is life really worth the living?

I run, I fall. I walk, I sometimes crawl. I give, I take. I bend and yet somehow I break

a lot of anger here..life is always preferable to the alternative. the quality of that life depends on what we do with it..don't you think?

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

My thoughts exactly. Are we chained to this body like prisoners to chains in chain gangs until we die? This is a rather thought provoking poem, fellow lil one.

In answer to your question, I believe without a doubt life is worth living. I to suffer from depression that seems to leap in leaps and bounds whenever it seems to want but I fight it everyday just as one would fight any other disease, when all seems gloomy and you feel down just remember the love here in this forum you have found we care and I care so if you ever need to talk feel free to email me.

Very well expressed.......even though it was so painfully done so.  When I read this....I could literally "feel" your heart.....so VERY powerful! I truly identity with this, but YOU  put it into words so  well.  This kind of read helps us all to  realize exactly what it is we truly feel....but sometimes cannot quite express ourselves in words.   THANK YOU!!!!

Thank you all so very much. Yeah, I wrote this when I got out of the hospital, so it was kinda pretty intense. Thank you for all of your replies!!!

I was glad to read this. there are a lot of us I see... I seem to be suffering depression in increasing waves. I hope to keep things going to reach some sunshine but it just seems to get harder and harder... I hope you will remain in the light and never suffer again Lil OnE...

Well I am glad you posted this too!  Depression (the dark avenger) is so hard to fight at times..  All I can say is glad you are back, and keep fighting, keep searching for the light(the bright things in your life), with hope and a positive attitude you will make it..
