Eyes watch you,
Norm Jean

A sadness permeates
apparent, as they reach
to touch you
on the
silver screen.

Why, Is it kismet,
predetermined,
a path leading
to drama's grievous
tragedy?

If it is, and it is.
Contained and measured,
arranged in advance.
A contract....between parties,
tainted blood, allowing
someone Else's,
joy to exist.

Did you
realize, did you read
the jagged edges of
the dark
infinite print?

Is this the reply,
Is this what you said?

I'll be Norma Jean,
Marilyn Monroe,
Movie Star, beauty queen
I'll sign
my name on that flatline
using a razor
sharp pen

dipped in
Red

What do we sacrifice - for what we attempt- can this be "be all that you can be"?
such questions you ask my friend -

Wow, an excellent piece! Marilyn Monroe's live really was tragic, behind the beauty and bimbo image was truly an intelligent woman tormented by demons.  You brought this to life so very well.  Like Judy Garland she was used and abused as a movie star by the studios and then tossed aside.

Take care,
