My friend and I were really down today and I was trying to convince us both tomorrow will be better.

In Hope for a better tomorrow

Tomorrow sun will shine
Apon my darkenning hope

And music so sublime
Will cheer my aching soul.

My knight will storm inside
And save me from distress.

Cool breeze will clear my mind
From thoughts' entangled maze.

Luck will smile MY way
And be a friend to ME.

Ones who caused me heartache
From heart will disappear.

So I'm waiting for tomorrow,
And dare you not be such!

For today is pain and sorrow...
Is it asking for too much?

This poem is so sad and so powerful. I am glad your friend has you to convey the meaning of the feelings that are felt.
