The time of night, right before the first rays of light yawn over the earth... I sit here now, thinking of you. Lost between sleep and reality, feeling you so near. In my dreams, you are my lover, my friend, my other half... In life, you are my stolen moments, my desires, and my friend. In my dreams, you hold me in your embrace, showering love, security, and promise. In my life, I am pats on the back, kisses on my forhead, and cordial smiles until we are alone. In my dreams, I wake in your arms, smiling down in peace at your sleeping form. Knowing you are content, happy with your life...our life. In my life, I hear news of you, your hardships with her, I see your eyes, those eyes so clear in my mind...as you nod and say all is well. In my dreams, you share the feelings I have for you. Feelings that are so bittersweet, they break my heart and keep it beating all at once. In my life, I have webs of hope, unspoken promises that you are certain never to utter. Never being led on, but always being kept on a shelf. In my dreams, at 4am, I am now against you, breathing you...drowning in you... In my life, at 4am I sit wiping a tear from my eye writing. Oh my...this hits so close to home and you described it all so wonderfully that I could hardly bare reading the whole thing. Well, maybe we'll both get lucky and Prince Charming will whisper those beautiful words of love and promise...and then again...maybe not. But either way...I hope you find some peace. Aaawwww.... Honey, I feel your words like a knife inside my heart... this is so beautiful but endlessly painful... I hope your dreams turn into reality, and mine as well, since they're sooooo similar. |
