Open the lid on this MY Pandora's Box,
And tell me what you see?
A life dissolving as you watch?
A spirit so beautiful yearning to be free?

Tell me what do you see?
A little girl still recovering?
For my new found Daddy told such a lie?
A little blue eyed girl to ashamed to cry?

Tell me what do you see?
A caring and loving Mother?
One who'd give her very life for her son?
Or someone slowly coming undone?

Tell me what do you see?
A shadow of my former self?
Brow beaten and emotionally abused?
With no hope, no way out of this ruse?

Tell me what do you see?
Someone who's hope is unwavering?
Or someone at the end of the line?
Almost too afraid to hope this time?

Tell me what do you see?
A woman with spirit, loving and grace?
With golden hair, blue eyes and a half decent face?
Or merely another pathetic angel fallen from grace?

You may see this and so much more,
I don't know what it is I portray,
So tell me what do you see?
Or do you simply turn the other way?

~Isis,...whenever I think of you,...I think of yellow. A soft yellow. Honestly, I do. To me the yellow is sunshine and I know that I don't know your whole story but all that I do know of you I truly admire. You are a strong and beautiful person and I really, really wish that you aren't too afraid to hope this time. You said it yourself,...the only way to go is UP! I love this poem and it's reflection. Wonderful work. Take care now. *Peace.

Thanks Spitfire!!  That is really interesting, you think of yellow when you think of me??  Blue is me, not yellow!!  But yellow is second to blue for peace and harmoney colours so you may be right!!!
I am not depressed as you thought, just reflective!!

I'll tell you what I see. . . I see a wonderful person, a kind and loving mother, and a warm, caring friend. . .

Someone who I'm proud to call a friend. . . and someone who I'm honored to call my kindred. . .

That's what I see Isis. . . and I always have. . .

I'll tell you what I see,
I see a mother with compassion who is not afraid to reach out and touch others to bring about healing. A woman who shows the joy in giving through friendship and who radiates hope even when the night is darkest. I also see Isis goddess of the dawn.
Be well

Isis, this is what I see

A woman with spirit, loving and grace?
With golden hair, blue eyes and a half decent face?

Carry on, my friend, your spirit is strong and beautiful

Thanks my friends!!!  I wasn't searching or asking for compliments, yet, I was touched and *embarrassed* to read your caring responses, thanks so much.
Sudhir Lyer I thankyou for the comment about a divine personality, what led you to that conclusion?
Sven our kindred friendship is very special, and I'm glad you now and see the real me, sometimes all people see is the anger or hurt.
Kethry, your response is almost poetic, thankyou, Isis Goddess of the Dawn, hope for a new day, I like that!
Cat thanks, it's nice to hear people can see my spirit and value it for what it is..    < !signature-->

Had to come back to reply...

Isis,
"A spirit so beautiful yearning to be free?"
..
"Someone who's hope is unwavering?"
..
"A woman with spirit, loving and grace?"
..
..
undoubtedly divine...
...and I have been reading your many other poems as well to add to my conclusion

regards,
sudhir
