If I had known
Life wouldn't be the same once you are gone
If I had known
I'd long to hear your voice over the phone
If I had known
My loneliness would fill my every bone
If I had known...

If I had known I'd miss you
I'd hold you tight so you won't fade
and gently kiss you...
I would make sure you know each moment spent
with you is blissful
Love you is what I'd do
If I had known how much I'd miss you...

If I had known how much I had to gain...
I'd give myself to you without a shame,
I'd tremble every time you  call  my name,
And carefully I'd guard  our passion's flame.

If I had known,
I'd make sweet love to you
And pick the stars and moon
To give to you at dawn.
If I had known,
Today I'd be with you
and not alone...

Anybody thinks I should show this to him? Will it work?

Yes..take a chance..if you have nothing to lose and it won't hurt if he rejects you! Good poem.

I wrote a poem very similar, but shorter. Same sentiment anyway. I say that showing it to him would be a good idea if you have any inclination that he still cares for you. I have done this actually, and though in the end it didn't work out   , We did reunite for awhile and he was very touched by the poem, and I think it was worth it. At least you can say you tried, you gave it your best shot, and that feels better than regrets, and if only's. At least to me.
In addition to the little bit of rambling, I want to say it was a very touching and well done poem.

Thanks Cat...
If he still cares I'm gonna find out today through my friend... If he doesn't, I'm not  even gonna try, there are plenty more fish in the sea.

whatcha doing in this darkness baby
when you know love will set you free?
will you stay in the sea forever
Drowning there for all eternity? ~Live
