Swollen Lies ;( I looked into the mirror this morning frightened myself. There was someone staring back at me that I did not recognize with eyes of swollen lies... I have been wondering lately who has been sharing this body of mine, causing me to have doubts, wanting to know things, asking too many questions, wanting to remove those gray strands from my life... needing black and white definitive answers... but only seeing eyes of swollen lies... Deep sighings replacing soft smiles and now tear shut eyes are swollen with memories that must have been lies. Life is never one-sided even if you are told so... Life is never what you know it to be, only your interpretation, something that you thought "was" but in reality "isn't." He lies to she with swollen eyes... How can one know what is in store for them when all truth seems not to exist... when you find out that your life is and was all a lie... when what seemed happiness never really was and what is sadness now...just is or is it... what is truth anyway what is love anyway what are vows to always be to always share to always care to be there at times good and bad Is there nothing to ever hold onto anymore even now if he were to say he only did this for me so I can be happy again I would not believe him, the one who gave me Eyes of swollen lies |
