Magnetism

She draws her strength from you.
Like the magnetic fibers
in an etch a sketch,
she feels the pull of your thoughts,
as they glide over her body
from visions of blue.
Tightness, she experiences,
as the attraction has her clinging,
awaiting every breath, to rise from within,
her every sense, made aware of yours.

You have pictured her,
in dress of your eyes,
pedestaled before you...
holding onto each fiber of her being
for fear of letting go
of even one small piece,
will leave you an unfinished canvas,
unable to hold it's form
to slowly dissolve
into nothingness.

Working feverishly
to complete this arresting puzzle,
you seize upon the one thing
that keeps you returning
and keeps her willing.
You, like her, are drawn to heart.
She like you, to lips of caress.
Both to linger in the eyes of love,
held in the grasp of
the Moon's magnetic pull.

Maureen, this is superb. I feel this like it was my life, again.. Lovely writing, subject close to my heart.
cat...

Words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think.

Maureen... you amaze me sometimes with how you can put together words in such a beautiful fashion.  Touching, heartfelt, hard hitting and lovely

Strive for higher levels, if they seem out of reach... Grow, and they will get closer.

Maureen, you did it again. You softly stole my breath away as I was reading your lovely, lovely, poem.
Be well
