At what age is it ok to be old? When do you stop being startled at your reflection? When do the gray hairs become natural? When is it ok for your skin to sag and your mind to forget that you used to be different? When is is ok to lose the rest of your hope and most of your friends? NO It will never be ok with me I am going down fighting... Words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think. Terrific poem Cat! You know, I wrote an article recently, kinda 'bout this subject... what is old?!! lol - I likened wrinkles, for instance, to "life-lines"... such beautiful lovely memories... so do I wanna get old?!! YOU BET! |

I'm going down fighting too Cat, loved your poem with its defiance and victory. Be well Kethry "It is the image in the mind that links us to lost treasures; but it is the loss that shapes the image, gathers the flowers weaves the garland."- |
