i have to find ways to amuse myself these days...

~White Coats~

they come when you go crazy
they like to play with your mind
their coats of white are glowing
synthetic of some kind
they see you as ashamed
they don't even know your name
the white coats are frightning me
shoot me up when i go crazy
no one will come to save me
from the white coats' wrath
alone in the room
feelings of such doom
closing in the walls
i can't hide at all
why they call it straight
this jacket i do hate
i have to scream again
the white coats coming in
they are playing with me sanity
no such humanity
the white coats have come to play
now i'm floating far away

Nikolette Sadness

i was once in love and happy...but you can call me Sadness.

Cool...I like it...it's like every scene from a movie that include insane asylums...

Nik, there is a really cool song by Joni Mitchell about this, I think you'd like it alot..."Troubled Child"

"up in some sterilized room
where they let you be spacy...
knowing your attitude is wrong,
y'gotta change and that's not easy...

and,

"they open and close you.
They talk like they know you--
they don't know you,
they're friends and they're foes too--
troubled child, breaking like
the waves at Malibu..."

Much love to you Nik.  Look this song up, I believe it's off of Ladies of the Canyon...
and hey, you've just got to be alright, if only because the alternative sucks.  Hugs.

As my friend once said: "It's OK to talk to yourself, it' even OK to answer yourself, but when you start asking "Huh? What did you say?" - that's when the ppl in white coats are comming..."

Hehe... loved it a lot!

I liked your descriptions in this one.  Really to the point.  Your images are also quite good and vivid.

Loved the insanity of this poem. How can you still write in that long sleeved coat lol.
Be well

This put a smile on my face...and I hope that does not offend...I am a bit strange at times...lol
It reminds me of a very old song called "Their coming to take me away", "their coming to take me away , haha, their coming to take me away, hehe...where I can weave basket every day...Hehe..."
