I would vanish
As some elusive leprechaun,
Into the deep quietudes
Of Isolation; to moss-marbled forests,
And impenetrable glades; or fly
On deathless wings
Across miles of waste,
And years of memory,
Into the heart of endless Time.
And I would leave behind
No whisper of what once I sang,
Nor ghost of far flung dreams
That I had loved.
Softly I would steal
Beyond the reach of echo,
Into a stillness that Silence cannot know...
Even as a wisp of tinted cloud
Fades before a setting sun, and blends
To nothingness with a evening sky.

"Beyond the reach of an echo..."
How wonderful that thought is...
Still amazing me with your words!!

I am tears of pain, tears of Death.

Rex,
your work sings.

"It is the image in the mind that links us to lost treasures;
but it is the loss that shapes the image,
gathers the flowers weaves the garland."-
