Imagine, different twist of fate
A life in which I'm not too late
We meet much sooner in that life
Before you choose HER as a wife.

Imagine, different circumstance
Suppose we'd really had a chance
In equal status, equal age
Back then, you weren't yet engaged...

Imagine, different destiny
If one could shape up history
Just tell me now and set me free
Would you love me?
Would you pick me?

This is onl my second poem, so don't judge me too harshly..

whatcha doing in this darkness baby
when you know love will set you free?
will you stay in the sea forever
Drowning there for all eternity? ~Live

LM, anyone who would judge this harshly..has never known the pain of loving someone that belongs to another.

Its really good..and really hits home for myself.

Please keep writing.  Im new too..

Welcome to the family! We are never harsh here. This has such a sadness to it..how many times have we all met someone only to 'imagine' what if...?

Please check your email for a special welcome!

Welcome to Passions. I like this it's almost a "What if" type of poem. Look forward to reading more of your work.
Be well

Thanks Kethry and CrEaTuRe for the support
I just wasn't sure if my little poem can measure up to all those fantastic stuff I've been reading here....

LM... I read this yesterday, and thought I had posted a reply, but I didn't. *Forgive me*?   I loved this one, and feel the same about my ex fiancee. It was too late... he chose others many times. Now he wants me back, but I must be strong. I'm rambling now, so forgive me once more. I loved it. Like I said... Keep it up.
btw... welcome to passions!

Never give your heart away, it will always come back broken.
