I live from day to day on a prayer and a lie. Am I only fooling myself, or is it hidden behind my eyes? I make up happy stories to share with 'so called' friends so I can feel like a 'normal' person, wanted, and welcomed in. I make up happy stories, and tell them so well I believe them. But my paper wings: they give me freedom. They pick me up so high, I'm carelessly soaring. But lo and behold, raindrops fall, and soon it's pouring. Paper wings melt away, sending my plummiting towards the earth. I suck in my breath, and brace for the worst. I hit the ground with an ear-piercing smack. A voice from inside says "you should have known you'd come crawling back". I stop and pause, realizing it's right. I should just lay down and give up this fight. You'll never release me from your powerful embrace, so then, I'll stop. I'll give up the race. I'm standing firmly on the bottom of the bottomless pit. Things are pretty bad how much worse can they get? |

I think at times we all have paper wings..mine are purple tissue paper that bleeds violet as it rains and I begin my own decention. Wonderful read dear. Until...
