Dear child with gifted sight
Take my hand,please follow
Into dreamtime we will take flight
And give no heed to tomorrow

In whimsical daydreams we hold control
Matters not if we are awake or sleeping
"With no regrets, and wings on our souls"
We'll soar above sorrow and weeping

Over time I've watched your light wane
Soon darkness shall consume
But I know a place where is no pain
Where the sun shall nurture the moon

For every soul in this vast universe
Are united deep within
And every heart shares every verse
That flows from poet to pen

And in this realm of spirit and heart
You'll always be in safe embrace
As sacred friends we are all a small part
Of your inspirational hiding place

So in the night when you've retired to bed
And loneliness aches inside
Please close your eyes and clear your head
And into dreamtime we'll go, side by side.

~Dawn

Wonderful poem...it's just line after line of hopeful beauty....something that's always a pleasure to read...especially when everything else feels so dark. It reminds me of the prizes of hanging in there.

in my flesh and makes
my bones ache

I love this one, Dawn. Good thoughts to keep us all going. I've been a bit discouraged lately, wondering if anyone cares or sees the writing, That was a good reminder.

LM: thank you so much for the comment! thats true, it may not be that simple, but it still can be done! we just have to let down our walls!

catalinamoon:thank you very much! always know, that any time you express emotions in any way, there will always be someone to hear you...even when those words are left unsaid, still there is someone who can hear you....and dear poet...your words always shine brightly, we'll never look you over!

Dawn, I like
and the sun shall nurture the moon.
It reminds me a bit of passions where those who have heaps of talent nurture those who are beginning to discover their voice.
Be well

Sunny1: thank you very much..we all need to get out of the shadows once in awhile, even if its only for a brief moment.

Wow what a wonderful poem...so sad yet so compelling...a yeanring from within that says, "Yes, lets go".

my love is my inspiration
perception of this poem
is your interpretation"
