I'm sitting on a plane
It was empty I thought
A solitary brain
Reproduction at nought

But someone stirs behind a seat
I hear a girl I cant quite see
I cant resist her but to greet
I think she's smiling back at me

She asked me where the plane was going
But I had asked the same
We stumbled in the shock of knowing
Someone shared our plane

We walked up to the pilot
To ask our destination
But he just said it's trapped in
Time and trust imagination

Suddenly there was a jolt
I fell as did the plane
I asked the pilot of the fault
"Belief is on the wane"
He said "dont put your faith in me"
"Are we going to fly?" I asked the girl "or crash into the sea?"
She was pondering the question of I of her of we
Then struggled with the words "we can only wait and see"

ilph,
your poem found favor in my eyes.
it expressed something i think we all feel about life...how unstable it is...how we have to take things step by step b/c we dont know what will happen next, or where we are going (or being taken if you will)...

What an intriguing story. I could almost see the plane taking them to fantasy island. Though I think the meaning is more to the point that we are all flying blind in a way.Very interesting, well written.

What a different(wonderful different) way to express, how we are travelling without that known destiny. I found this very interesting and also well done!!! Enjoyed very much!!!

Wow!  This was excellent my friend!  While reading I imagined it was more about every day life and how we never really know what may or may not happen.  Great work anyways.
