The fevered mind flashes first fire then ice Emotions converged and then caught in a trice Syllables spill from a gibbering tongue Never quite knowing if you're old or too young Seeing the beauty of the sun in her smile Watching the form of her lover awhile We lay in the dark and we swear we won't cry We write our black words with a pen that's gone dry Sing while you may -The Prophet Q'spel Your pain is for you alone, As it is, As it was, As it will be forever, Amen -The Prophet Q'spel |
