His light shines forth on all whom are ready
All who have reached a turning point
Ready to begin anew

Standing before the Golden Gate
Love's light shining through
To the barest
Most simple elegant parts of you

Shedding free the light
You cannot resist
You are drawn into love's mist

Painted and glazed with love's sweet inflection
Coloring thy passion in hue's identity
Once you pass through
There is no return
You begin anew upon paths that are true

But do not soon forget
Of the treacherous winds
That sore upon love's golden wings

For it will descend
Wounding your heart
And this is the gift of healing thorns

Do not resist

And know that love is never torn

Chere*
