Lies!
It was all lies—
First, you said
“I love you.”

Lies!
It was all lies—
Second, you said
“I will never hurt you.”

Lies!
It was all lies—
Third, you said
“Sorry, that I hurt you.”

Lies!
It was all lies—
Then, you said
“I never meant to hurt you.”

Lies!
It was all lies—
Last of all, you said
“Let’s be friends.”

Do you really expect me
To believe your—
Lies?

Lady N, I think NO you should not believe the creep. Why do they lie like that? Good description of the situation. If you could find it, you should read my poem "kiss off", has a similar theme, its back in the old pages somewhere.  So you know I have been there, and in fact live in the situation rather constantly.
Take care.

Oh the lies told, and very sad for the person that holds out faith for another. I felt the anger in this one, good job!!!
