This Pane of Glass

The pane I look out
from this chair of words
echoes the sunlit leaf
in dust crusted glitter

The dark shadow sways
a winter glass dancer
   and
entrancing grace of substance
growing leaf of splendor
just beyond
greenly
gamely plays
the wind

You are locked in rhythm
yet do not touch
you are separate
yet alone

Which is less or more of real
in this vision
my heart is touched by both
one is like a blossom
the other like a dream

In heart this pain of glass
is sharp

This love of true and forever
can still be free
embrace is such circumference
that the heart can’t measure
this shadow that touches the crack
I left open for expansion
in life long quest

Oh shadow
you inhabit my core
add dimension to my vision
you must lay with me in this confusion
that opens me to hesitation
when all I want is to see

My heart is glass
and pain is not diaphanous
its shattering is silent
opening
lets all the fragile chambers
cry

You are definitely multi-dimensional, my friend.

I enjoyed this look at the
pain through the pane.

There is so much here, Martie, love the imagery of the glass--the invisible separation--the yearning in this is as evident as finger marks on the glass...and I guess you figured out by now that I really loved this beauty...

~Martie,...thank you for letting me peek in.  Mmm, I love how this fell onto me, (though it tugs at me now with the contents). It's nice to see you here,...it's nice to read you again. You have beauty in your mind. Be well M. *Peace.
