You take the moral high-ground
Preaching words of conviction
Like a howling wind
High above me

Perched
Unruffled..
On your limb of ignorance
Gabbling..
Cluttering my sky
With unruly sounds

You take the moral high-ground
With your sanctimonious conceit
Interwoven with..
Emotionless expressions
Your mask of gloom

Your moral high-ground
Is..
The edge of doom

I like this one, Deborah. This is a great summary of what good moral high ground is. I especially liked:

Perched,
Unruffled..
On your limb of ignorance

Great analogy! Reminds me of a squawking parrot.

"And one day...the whole stinking world would be theirs..."

Deb,
this one is really fantastic!
"Your moral high-ground
Is..
The edge of doom"
What an image. And what truth. Blind fanaticism ...

Deb,
I enjoyed this one. I could almost feel the disapproval radiating out.

Deb..So much said here...so succinct.  Makes me wonder, "God, have I ever done that?"  I certainly hope not.  This is one of your best....go back and change it to where I can vote for it.  Hardrock
