The Drive By

It gets too busy each passing day
as we just seem to miss
all the time we've wanted for,
just a tiny kiss.

What has this world been coming to
a society too fast,
when all I ever wanted was
a kiss to linger, last.

The sharing of affection
is hard to capture when,
we keep on passing by, in time
to reach each other's end.

I've an idea that may linger
on yours and also mine.
Let's meet, in passing, our lips to kiss
when traveling each to find.

M 7*2k

*note..since I was writing about kisses this morning I ran across this picture and couldn't resist just a touch of humor...even if in the darkness of passion

Awesome poem. Gets one to think and hey once in a while we need humor in dark passions, know what I mean? LOL

Maureen it was gentle and whimsical. We should take time each day and your poem helped me remember why.
