Thoughts Walking Alone ...

Walking alone through life's darkest night
A path of memories come rushing to mind.
You've been my candle, my warming light
No greater treasure, could I ever find.

You speak through your eyes, you kiss with a gaze
You hear all my thoughts, through my words.
You fill my life, with joy without end
And I feel, and I see, and I've heard.

As I walk from the past, into what is now
And continue to look to the 'fore
I watch as my garden continues to grow
And produce memories new and so pure.

Walking alone through memories past
Accepting it's changing to light.
Feeling the whispering winds touching me
Caring words that are calming and bright.

It's tomorrow, today and the future is here
In each breath that I breath, I must take
Whatever is present in unrefined air
And a gift to myself, of it make

The most of it's lightness, fulfilling my soul
And the pleasure I seek, heart within.
Caring for ME, not selfish but need
And to rise up in spirit again.

Walking alone, on days such as this
Warm breezes, slight touching, sunlight
Peeking through windows, mind's eye, on this day
Thoughts, lifting me out from my plight.
