Night Riders,
Across the barren fields of stone,
Advancing,
Destroying,
Burning the essence of home,
Outsiders.

Riding with the sword and torch,
Destroying,
Farmers killed and hearths scorch,
Livestock was just turned to dead,
Lay rotting,
Poles crudely raised held a head
With glares down sees her hacked limbs
Rats feeding,
Her motherhood harshly ends.

T’was no gold,
The dark riders didn’t look,
No silver,
Only joy,
Everything was what they took,
Leaving cold.

Night riders,
Advancing the evil days.
Dark Riders.

Thank you,
Glad you liked it,
it's my own response to the poem
Harbinger, which I posted earlier.
Perhaps,
I'll write another to go with this one.
