Death
A whirling, gnashing
pit of doom.
A place where
oblivion ruled.
A time of sleep
with no dreams.
A place of nothing,
less then nothing.
Gone, forever...
lost, void.
No thought
No feeling
Nothing.

A bright light
A beautiful thing.
Death no longer
held me in fear.
It was the rebirth
the step to take
for new thoughts
new actions.
Feeling as another
Knowing more.
An endless cycle,
one would never be lost.
Always to find your
way home.
Beautiful.

While the peom is new (I wrote it 10 minutes ago) the revelation is not.  It's too bad, though, that it began in the conversations in the wake of the suicide of a 12 year old girl.

Magebeast,
a lovely poem. So uplifting at the end! It can be applied to life too!
But the suicide of a 12 year old girl makes me shudder. What a terrible tragedy!

I agree this is so sad, the thought of a 12 yr old committing suicide, so awful....Your poem was very very good, and a nice ending.

Mage, very good poem, and so sad that a young girl died. I wrote about a young friend who also committed suicide, a few weeks ago. So tragic a loss.
Peace
