here, take this heart i don't want it anymore it's been broken too many times and i'm just tired of the hurt here, take this pain i don't need it anymore i know this feeling far too well and i just want to be free of it here, take these tears i don't have any anymore i've cried too many too long and i just don't have time for them here, take this soul i don't want it anymore it's empty now and sings no longer and i just don't have my voice anymore i don't want to be like this anymore i want to be like everyone else without a heart, tears, and a soul so i won't have the pain and just be numb. . . like you. . . ------------------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

If I could "take" away your pain, I would. There is one lesson in life that no one can ever afford to forget..........NEVER give away what you will need tomorrow. Tomorrow is another day. Oh my!! Now this poem was EXCELLENT but oh so sad. Having to rid yourself of the pain by giving everything away that helps to survive. Boy oh boy do I know how that feels. Great post!! Sven don't give away or lose or forget those things that are so special and therefore make you so special. sven gator.... of all the many poems Ive read of yours I think this is the first really sad one Ive ever read... and while Im sorry for your pain... i have to say you did an excellent job of expressing your emotions... Isis is right...dont ever give your self away what one person may not be able to accept from you... will in time be the things another will walk on water to have... take care jm There are places inside our souls - that have never been touched.
