The Shores of Alone

I know it's hard
to gather up the pieces of your broken heart
and try again.
Hard to let go of remembered pain.
Yet the holding on hurts even more.
It will still find you,
wherever you hide.
In the darkest cave, or behind
the thickest of doors.
Just give yourself up.
Don't bother looking back-
you won't escape.
Surrender.
You might as well go willingly,
as be arrested.

I like this Cat...its very hard to face the difficult and hurtful things. I too will try to turn my back when the pain is overwhelming...You WILL get through my friend!! Loved the last line. Great poem!!

Such struggles suck - we both know that!!  Hon one last time - accept my apologies, it was beyond my control...
This was excellent and describes how I feel right about now..    *hugs*

I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.....

WoWee.
What truth there is in your words:
Always try again.
Never give up.
You could miss out on the best thing in life otherwise!
BrillllliANT!!!
