Isn't it peculiar
How humans have such a hard time
Fully perceiving one another
We struggle to witness
The feelings of those encircling us
I could drain out my soul
But only few would savor
I could illustrate to you
How much my heart swells sometimes
But only few could comprehend
And maybe none - at all
We all are
The way we are
All we all have those little quarks about ourselves
And we all feel pesimistic sometimes
In our own little unique way
And we all feel joyful
In our own blessed way
But sometimes I feel completely
Deviant
Like I'm watching a normal world evolve around me
And I am the exception
Because I have a dimness which lives inside of me
Full of desperation
But I can hide it
Because I have to
And I just wish
There was a passage
To connect us
Or at least...
Connect Me

I know that feeling of feeling disconnected...this was very good, alot of meaning in this poem, I can easily relate. Nice work!!!

Kari, this had a provocative edge, hinting at the darkness, but still somewhat upbeat. "I could drain out my soul, but only few would savor." I love that line. Very nice poem. And I can also relate to the disconnected feeling. Perhaps that is what makes us poets.

life is a broken winged bird
that cannot fly."

Kari,

A very interesting read. I can relate to the situation, Especially lately.

I as well like the part of "I could drain out my soul
But only few would savor"

Very good,

Oh yes.
How I wish we could connect like that too! Understand without words, rather than misunderstand because of them!

Hi. I know how your feeling cause I have a disability. It's so fussterating people think of you like a no body but then you gotta think. I'm a somebody and everyone has to be a somebody. I maybe only 17 but I know alot. My sister thinks of me different but I am not different. They can think what they want but I don't think like them. Bye
