(this is an indepth look at myself and how, who and why I am as I am. written in '99)

DROPED A TEAR

I almost droped a tears...
but please,never fear...
I caught it just in time.
To know that tears fall from the eyes of Darkness would be a crime.
To know that in all of my dark wisdom
there is also loathesome
angony
would be to impossible for me to admitt.
Here in my world I sit...
every one looking to me,
thinking all of the answers I should see.
To know that I am extremely different
is not at all times a gift sent.
To know that I hunger
for things that make others quiver
once, only once, in a grand while, makes me shiver.
To know that others step in to my darkness with aprehention
has never been my intention.
To know that when one can feel my presents
but never view my existance
in its own right, is my resistance.
I almost droped a tear...
but never fear...
for I know few others will ever tread here.

"There is an alter ego which
dwells in every soul..."

"I am as I am, nothing more, nothing less,
I am tears of pain, tears of Death.

"To know that I am extremely different...."  I often have the feeling.  But I stand in your presence, without apprehension, without fear...enthralled by your ability to turn a phrase that captures so well the feeling inside me.  Thanks for sharing...Hardrock

This is extrememly captivating. Vivid and poignant. I loved it, and I do know the pain of feeling different in some way. Or many ways.  I really enjoy all your poems.

a-alibaster,

I will have to agree with Hard Rock. The people that read the poems on Dark Passions, are here to listen to our emotions, and enterject that ever so needed support. I for one have gained a world of friends here. If I have no where to turn, I can simply write my feelings down, no matter how messed up they are, and share them here. We are differant, yet no quite so.
Very captivating.
