In the city
In my head
The bells
Ring on and on
Designing schisms
And infinite prisms
Waking up visions
Of right versus wrong
Battles lost
Sieges won
And of things
Long dead
And gone

Tremendous poem!    Great words... brought back some memories of my own!!  "Battles lost, seiges won" - those words in themselves bring images to mind.  But then, your poems always seem to do that!

Uta...your poems never fail to touch something inside of me.  "In the city in my head"...brings back so many memories long since forgotten.  Great poem.  Hardrock

Sometimes it feels like the city in our head is far too congested. Glad I'm a country girl! LOL
Great poem. Really enjoyed the read!

Beautiful words, great poem. I sent a previous message, apparently did not get in..

lotharingia,

Wow, What a powerful little poem. The vision of the bells reminds me of headachs of things better left "long dead and gone"

What an interesting way to declare the turning tables in our minds.  Very well done.

You have captured the chaotic city of most of our minds I think! Very good wordsmithing here. I especially liked the lines:

Designing schisms
And infinite prisms
Waking up visions
Of right versus wrong

Excellent!

Teriffic job!! I just want to shut off the "thinking" sometimes, so I can relate to this easily. That city in our minds, so well put, great poem!!!!!

"And of things
Long dead
And gone"

For some reason this really hit me.  I loved this poem!
