Hearing the plight,
Of the helpless bird in flight,

Screams of infection,
Fill me with disguise,

Wingless beatings echo in silence,
Pleading to nature hoping for some reliance,

Facing the facts,
Its now too late to act,

Breathing one final breath,
Before approaching the vicious cycle of death.

A harrowing piece!
The idea of facing the facts when it's really too late to act is scary.
Very well done!

This poem reminded me of one I had written way back in high school called 'Leichenzug'.
It is also about the realization of death. I have posted it so you can read it. This is a subject I like to ponder.
Thanks for the memories.
