The Lover's Kiss, the velvet touch.
Your fingers spoke to me.
It's been so long and missed so much.
How long till I break free?

Your strong arms roughly pulled me close
and held me tight to you.
Your warmth, a comfort in the night,
you made my body new.

Teasing lips and sexy eyes,
I see them in my heart.
Every night I miss you more,
it's tearing me apart.

The lonliness is getting worse.
I feel you drift away.
Your other life might close me out..
Oh, how I wish I'd stayed.

Is there an end to all this pain,
or am I doomed to this?
When next you hold me in your arms,
will we share the Lover's Kiss?

That was a lovely poem - you have felt - and you have not forgotten...

Oh Cat...that really pains me.  I hope, nay I pray, you get to experience that lover's kiss again.  So well done here...Hardrock

What an excellent piece (like all of yours, of course). I could *feel* that longing.

You have captured perfectly what distance and time can do to the frayed edges of a heart. I agree with Wren, "lush" images indeed. Wistful, too. Well done.

Your imagery is wonderful...I could feel what you wrote and that is a hard thing to accomplish...but you have done it so well.
I hope all is well with you and that if your words here are from personal expierience, that you will feel all that you wish with out fail soon!!
