I find myself waking....

from the pain my God has given me,

To feel the pain of tearing.

Tearing of the soul....

as I hunger and thirst for that presence,

of belonging to Him.

Tearing of the soul....

as I hunger and thirst, for an Earthly love....

that never can be mine.

As the world awakens....

to begin a new day,

I find myself deep in thought.

Deep into the soul searching....

recesses of the mind and soul.

Deep into The Darkness once more.

Marshall..those waking thoughts can, at times, consume you...make you immobile.  I allow myself about 5 minutes of that...then get moving or I would just stay there within the recesses of my mind and soul.  Nice poem.  Hardrock
