My life is scorned
And I can't find my way
No sunlight shining down
Upon my day

I've lost my life
To hatred and dismay
Yes, I am a dog
And I am now a stray

Still the darkness calls
And the cold rain falls
In my heart I'm sighing

I stand at your backdoor
The rain starts to pour
I can feel the angels crying

The devil tries to claim me

Excuse me while
I tend to how I feel
These things return
To me that still seem real

And now desperately
I fall away
And the crying starts
While I begin to pray

Yes, I want your aid
Cause the paths I made
For me have all been stray

And now I've lost me
So I'm asking thee
Where is my missing way

And now I scream
An awful scream
That echoes through the night

And down I fall
I cry my call
I've lost a losing fight.

So can't you feel the angels crying now?

I stand at your backdoor
The rain starts to pour
I can feel the angels crying

And now I scream
An awful scream
That echoes through the night
So can't you feel the angels crying now?

The devil tries to claim me
