Foolish game!

My heart is not a trophy!

My soul is at stake.

I bet my ass,
'cause I always win,

The cost is more than you can show,
I lost my faith on a bet?

   I never thought I could,
but it was so good.

Was that way I saw it?
I can't remember.....

The demon has slipped his leash,And now runs at will in my mind.

Hope and fear are hand in hand!
How can it stop?

  Please make it stop!!

Click,
dealing with the "demons" is tough, but also up to You...You must ask Yourself, my friend, if You can handle the truth.
No matter what, I will be Your friend always.

Click,
I always look for your poems and you never disappoint me!
This one is absolutely brilliant.
The format is extremely effective! It makes me feel the conflict, turns my mind into a pretzel. "Hope and fear go hand in hand" what an image, what a contradiction! And what a powerful line:
The demon has slipped his leash,And now runs at will in my mind.
This poem really gets me wondering what made you write it ... I do hope you're ok!
