A dark shimmer do the moonbeams cast,
Like a mirror reflecting the shadows of my thoughts.
Wind-rippled waters in a murky trough,
Like a caricature of my Love's battle fought.

Danger I ignored, when a plunge I took,
Into the chapters of unchartered bleakness,
Alas, I should have looked.
A shore ahead, nay, i cannot see,
Is this the tragedy, of Love's cruel immortality?

Dear Verve

Ouch!  This is really beautiful, powerful and very human.

You have my vote.

Keep it up.

A beautfully well written poem, Verve. It's tragic but true.

I really enjoyed this poem too! Love can cause us the greatest happiness but also the greatest pain.

When the word Alas appears, woe is sure to follow.
Very good expression of sorrow.

Hey everyone!

Thank you so much for your kind words of welcome and affirmation. It is truly gratifying esp. for someone who comes from the other side of the globe. =)
Haven't been writing for ages so itz nice to know that at least someone can relate to my work. Thank you all once again!
