I have a wishing well
In the corner of my mind
Its there I make, an eternal wish
That brings peace to all mankind

May the mother encased by poverty
Get newly papered walls
May the hungry babies crying
Know that someone..
Hears their calls

May the men from wars
Who lie awake..
Haunted by the sights
Have angels wrap
Their arms around..
And hold them..Oh so tight

May the homeless one
Left in the cold
To scramble for food to eat
Find a blanket of warmth
To shelter him..
And shoes for his bare feet

May the elderly forgotten
See the hope in memories
May their spirit soar..
May they have more
Let kindness set them free

May the children on the playgrounds
Run freely without fear
May the sun shine down
Upon them..
And dry each and every tear

May the ones whose hearts
Are broken..
Find strength to carry on
May cupid draw his arrow
Let all their pain be gone

May those stricken down
By illness..
Keep discouragement at bay
May more cures be found
While they are still around
Let them live another day

May victums of a violent crime
Have the courage to sustain
May the umbrella of protection
Find them..
And protect them from
The insane

May all stray animals
Be taken in
Sheltered from the harm
May each human see..
And act upon
Their furry little charm

And may you know
Theres many more
My list it has no end
May my wishing well..
Someday tell...
Of a life that we can mend

Deb, I really love this one, it expresses my thoughts as well, and has a great flow to it too.

~You have a huge heart, and a very deep well I can see  . hehe. I have one too (the well)...you have echoed some of my thoughts too.  There are sooo many, it's nearly impossible to post them all in one sitting. Great work. *Peace.
