Grains of colored sand

Wouldn't it be great if this
Cape Cod beach was filled with
Different colors of sand?
Think of the pictures I could paint. . .

Make the beach look like something out of
La Blue Girl. . . the sand my pallate
Or maybe like the Beatles
John and Paul in sand, at the mercy of
The wind and the ocean. . . shifting
                                            . . .changing. . .

Reminds me of the time I tried to make
A soy pop tart. . .just could never get
The frosting on there right. . .
But that's ok. . . I ike strawberry the best
Sitting here, painting my shoes with nailpolish

People ask me why I do this
I tell them it's because I want them
To know what color my toenails are
And wearing these shoes, they can't really
See them very well. . . Do you like the color?

Grains of colored sand. . .

Sven-
Thanks so much! I love what you did with this poem! (I feel special, I've got my own poem!) I'm amazed at how you took all the weird parts of my life and made them sound oddly beautiful!(I don't think I could make my life sound as pretty as you did) This poem is great.....Once again...Thank you sooooooo much!

Cursing makes me feel ignorant but oh well...this was a kick ass poem! lol I just loved it...everything about it was just perfect. Sometimes I let loose and write stuff like this but it never comes out this good. That's why it stays locked away in my journal....they're secrets better left unsaid.
