Twisted Paths
©2000  Christopher Ward

evil dreaming
demons scheming
plots in sticky dark
heart so barren, cold
deeds done brazen, bold
craven their dull despair
unfair a-chanced rolled fate
pain to relate
to children past
cast to the future
in festering suture
hope slicing deeply
creepy the sordid lies
truths they forever deny
to sanity's face
erase away the guilt
a death knell rebuilt
'pon tower-tall of sand
un-manned by gestures
rulers and their scepters
crowning knights of sin
kin to the chains of slaves
brave, they to bear; the weight
of an un-life formed in hate

Hello, my name is Christopher. You can call me sir or boss, either will do fine!     (Just please don't call me some of the other names I've earned here!!!) As you may have noticed, I am now a co-moderator in Dark Passions. The biggest reason I am here is to help out, with Michael on his "vacation" (uh-huh, suuuure!) and with Isis being pre-occupied and swamped in here! So I offered Ron my help. I have been a member here at Passions for almost a year and a moderator for... uhh... I don't know... I'm having a hard time remembering when I wasn't a moderator!     The other two forums I moderate in are Prose and the English Workshop (so watch that thar' spellun'!) Please drop by and pay us a visit sometime!

Anyway, most of you might not recognize me, as it's been a while since I've posted here in Dark. But I have been here, watching you! I know most of you, even though you probably don't even know my name! So let's all behave (or at least pretend to behave whilst the adults are watching, eh?) *wink*

If'n you's ever needs sumthin' feel free to get a-hold of me! I'm always available to members! (And ignore anything Michael says about me, he's just jealous 'cause I have a Porshe and he doesn't!)

Peace out and thanks,

Christopher

This poem is very "panoramic", I see it to sum up the dark path of history in a nutshell. Very well done (even if that wasn't what it's about!)

Hey Chris...thanks for helping out here.  This crowd doesn't get TOO rowdy..'cept maybe for SpitFire who's "livin on the edge" of reality and some place we can't identify yet.  Nice poem, Twisted Paths...certainly fits well here.  Hardrock

:P~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I don't recall the dark ever being "sticky" before -

Gosh, one day and look what a mess you've made already...

Hi Christopher, cool poem, on the creepy side, but hey, thats why we are here, to obsess, depress, and share. Thanks for reading my wors too. Agreeing with spitfire, "Knights of sin" has a great ring to it..

Um... forgive me. But... it's Porsche. Not to be confused with Portia, which is pronounced the same.

Sorry, I just had to.

HEY!!  Who let this freak in here???

Quite a quaint and spiffy little ditty you have here -- gave me the warm-fuzzies, it did.  You sure know how to melt a girl's heart ... hehehe

Oh, and BTW, "boss" (gak) -- the "vacationer" says he just adores your li'l teacups!     (oh, and the internal rhyme too ... yawn.)

Well, I'm out ... clean up your mess, willya?  Eeeww ...

I want to re-iterate & add something as well-

1. Don't listen to Michael.

2. Don't listen to Kess.

See what I mean? They're both jealous!

Thank you all for the welcome! Heard tell Isis was going to be back around here fairly soon! But that doesn't men you'll be getting rid of me! I'm here for a while at least... S'posed to be straightening y'all up, but I think I'd rather be corrupted instead!

Peace,

Christopher

Hey Boss!!! Don't think you're getting out of here that easy...

This is like Hotel California, you can check out any time you like - but you can NEVER leave!!!

I think I speak for everyone when I say we "NEED" you here...  Especially since I never know when I am gonna be around as of late...

Good to have you aboard, Bud...
