I try so hard every single day,
to make things easy,
and to make things go my way.
What the Hell, Why do I even try?
It's not like if I'm unhappy
I'll die.
I guess thats who I am,
no help for that at all.
I can still enjoy a beautiful sunset,
if it's masked by clouds, dark and tall.
An eternal optimist,
thats what I must be,
for no matter how much pain or sorrow,
goodness is all I see.

EVEN ANGELS FALL.

Nothing wrong with being an optimist: the expectation of future hapiness is one of the spices of life!

"For God's sake, he's a poet. Poets are meant to feel miserable. Otherwise, what the hell are they here for? What are they going to write about?"

I liked this poem, no harm in looking towards the positive, better than looking at the dark side.

"The stars will explode in the sky O but they don't, do they? Stars have their moment and then they die" Nick Cave

I'm the eternal optimist...despite what I may write.  So I really enjoyed this.  Hardrock

Yes, exactly. I'm an optomistic pessimist.. Or is it delusional..?
Loved the poem, its true that we generally don't die from unhappiness, so why dwell on it? Except it makes good poetry.

"If a man moves you to feel like a woman,
the least you can do is let him."
