Can you see past mirrors
And masquerades of masks?
Can you see the story-line?
Do you dare to ask?

People, souls are crying!
They're living in a grave.
Would you dare to reach out
A dying souls to save?

Can you hear them calling,
"S.O.S., Please, Help?"
Can you turn your back with ease
Once their pain you've felt?

If you say you will not help
Then truly you are dead,
For life without compassion
Is, for certain, death instead.

I agree completely! I'm glad you expressed these feelings in a poem. How often I think the same thing!
